Animal reproduction is an exciting field, common to all members of AERA. It is within this area where we develop our professional activities and AREA´s goal is to nucleate all those working in Animal Reproduction, not only to nominative join the Association but to have this as a meeting point and reference for both professional and research levels. AERA´s main aim is to encourage all activities related with our professional function.

AERA has elected a new Board which has been keeping several meeting with the objective to invigorate our Association and adapt it to the new possibilities that the new technologies in communications bring. The Board of AERA intends to make of AERA not just a meeting point every two years.

As a result of this new policy, a new web page (aera.org.es) has been built, i in order to facilitate the contact among all members of AERA.  We intend that the web page shall provide a forum for participation where members can ask questions, make suggestions, and/or put forward ideas to be clarified or/and debated by other members of AERA. We want it to be a meeting point in which contents of scientific and professional interest are gathered, being the access restricted by member's personal codes to guarantee confidentiality and data protection.

Our main activity till now has been the organization of a congress within our own association as well as under the framework of the Iberian Federation of Animal reproduction (FIRA) with our Portuguese colleagues, being our aim to enhance and increase, and if possible, to extend it to other countries of the Mediterranean area.
